PRESS RELEASE – June 29, 2010 – World Cup Mania in Downtown San Diego

The Carmel Valley Manchester under 16s were feeding homeless and low income folks at a downtown Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 26.  They had nowhere to go to watch USA v. Ghana.  Some of their players live in Escondido, and some of their players live in Chula Vista.  There was no
way they would make it to their homes for the big game.

At 9:15 a.m., Jerry Sims of Pyle, Duncan, Sims & Stevenson, called his court reporting firm, Kramm Court Reporting.  Kramm just opened up Discovery Conference Centre, complete with T1 lines and a  60” HD TV and asked, “When we finish up, can we bring our team over?”  Rosalie Kramm said, “Of course.  Our conference centre was built for our community.”  Provisioned with five extra large pizzas and two dozen chocolate chip cookies, the players got to watch the game.  Yes, the USA lost, but the pride of soccer and being together as a team was huge.

The goal of Discovery Conference Centre is success for everyone who walks through the door.  The USA may have lost this game, but CV Manchester  were together as a team, a San Diego team.  Discovery Conference Centre was created for the San Diego Community.  Our philosophy is “What is best for San Diego is best for us.”  Kramm, a former professional soccer referee, told the players as they were leaving, “USA might have lost this game, but I expect you to win your season next year.   Make me proud! GO FOR IT!”
